ゲストWell-known actor turned politician Kamal Haasan is ready for nomination for the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu by the current DMK party, as per newly surfaced details. Notably, when the MNM-DMK alliance was officially revealed, Kamal voiced that his collaboration with the DMK was rooted in a passion to the development of Tamil Nadu, rather than a wish for influence. The upcoming round of Rajya Sabha elections is due for July this year. In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Kamal’s MNM participated in 140 seats but unsuccessfully did not win any. On the cinematic front, Kamal is working on several prominent projects, with “Thug Life” directed by Mani Ratnam due to release in June, and “Indian 3” scheduled for 2026 in 2026. As part of this alliance, MNM won one seat for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in 2025. Kamal Haasan’s political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), forged an alliance with the DMK, headed by MK Stalin, during the Lok Sabha elections last year.

The much-awaited Thalapathy69, rumored to be Vijay’s last film before his political debut, is on track to become one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2025. “Toxic,” one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, heralds the return of Yash to the big screen following the success of “KGF.” Currently, he is shooting important sequences in a specially constructed studio in Bangalore. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, “Toxic” is being created on a grand scale. The film also includes Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria in leading parts, all of whom are now shooting in Bangalore alongside Yash. Nayanthara, who portrays a significant role in the movie, has allegedly started her shooting schedule, with her character set to be one-of-a-kind and essential to the plot.
Yet, an impending test looms as Thandel prepares for release on February 7, 2025. The competition between these juggernauts will be one to watch. While a decline in audience turnout is anticipated, the Venkatesh-starrer remains resilient, keeping analysts guessing.
Her most recent appearance featured her in the web series *Citadel*, directed by the acclaimed filmmakers, which unfortunately couldn’t gain traction in the digital space. The talented actress is directing her career toward wider-reaching projects.
